Fly fishing float trips on the Tuckasegee River are offered year round by our guides. Prime trout season is between October and early June. Sometimes the trout bite will stay good well into July. After the trout bite slows we shift our focus to smallmouth and spotted bass trips.
We offer trips on this river for all skill levels. We provide all the flies and necessary equipment including waders, boots, fly rods or spinning tackle.
The delayed harvest sections on this river are the heaviest stocked in the state. There is also a very healthy population of wild rainbow and brown trout in this river. A state record brown was once caught in the Tuckasegee River.
