Beginner Fly Fishing Trips in NC

Fly Fishing with Kids.

Our beginner fly fishing trips in NC are tailored to each client. The trip can be setup as a 1/2, 3/4 or full and covers casting, knot tying, insect/fly identification, reading the water, rigging up a fly rod and hopefully catching and releasing your first trout on the fly. We are pleased to work with children as well. We have guided clients as young as six years old. All equipment is provided on all of our trips as well as drinks and snacks on our 1/2 and 3/4 day trips. On larger streams our guides can accommodate up to three anglers and up to two anglers on the smaller streams. Beginning angler trips can cover areas of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the WNC Fly Fishing Trail, Tuckasegee River, Nantahala River and more. We also run all of our wade trips on the TN side of the Smokies. If you are staying in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Townsend or surrounding areas we will be happy to meet you for a day of fly fishing in the Smokies.
