What a busy week here at Hookers Fly Shop and Guide Service. We had several wade and float trips out on the Tuckasegee River and wade trips out on the Cherokee Trophy Section on Ravens Fork. Hookers Fly Shop guide Clint Holcomb, Jalen Morton, Miller Watson and myself were out guided several new and repeat clients over last week.
Tuckasegee Float Trip
The Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail has been providing some fantastic fishing so far this spring. With the Hatchery Supported sections closed we are primarily focusing on the Tuckasegee Delayed Harvest and the Cherokee Trophy Section.

My trip to the Cherokee Trophy Section on Saturday was fantastic. Longtime repeat clients Dwayne H. and Scott B. put some big beautiful rainbows in the net. We even had the pleasure of watching a herd of about 20 elk cross the river just below us.
