The Tuckasegee received its final stocking of 2012 this week. On Tuesday and Wednesday the river was stocked with close to 10,000 trout in the 5 mile section of the delayed harvest. Both South River Road and North River Road were stocked so the entire section should fish well for the rest of the winter. Stop by our homepage to link to the Duke Energy generation schedule to see if the releases are favoring the wading or floating angler. If you are interested in a wade or float trip on this beautiful river please contact us. We have wade and float trips available all year and we are the closest outfitter to the river. Our guides spend hundreds of days on the Tuck guiding and fishing and would love to take you and your next fly fishing adventure. We also guide the Cherokee Reservation waters, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Nantahala River, Pigeon River and the WNC Fly Fishing Trail. Check out our Deals page for current specials on guided trips and lodging. To inquire about a guided trip email or call. hookersflyshop@yahoo.com 828-587-HOOK
