Today Clint and I both had half day trips. Clint decided to head out to Cherokee and fish upper Raven Fork with his clients from West Palm, FL. The morning started off slow for them but heated up near the end with a 15″ rainbow and an 18″ rainbow brought to the net. The bows were taken on #8 Hot Head Marvins (Yellow/Brown) with #16 Rubberleg Hare’s Ear dropper. I decided to head up to upper Scott’s Creek with Rick F. from Atlanta, GA. The morning also started out slow for us on Scott’s Creek with a few strikes here and there. There were a few Little Yellow Sallies rising but nothing really significant. Finally Rick picked up a few rainbows on a #12 Yellow Elk Hair Caddis and a few on the #16 Pheasant Tail dropper. The last fish of the day was the 6-7″ wild rainbow that is pictured below. Overall a decent day on the water.
